Invisalign® will give you something to smile about! It has made changing your smile more esthetic. Instead of wearing braces with wires, you will wear a series of custom aligners (trays) that have incremental changes to help create the smile you have always wanted. Since they are invisible and removable, no one can tell you're wearing them, so you can smile more during treatment as well as after.
At your initial consultation, Drs. Shaw, Jane or Ginzler will evaluate if your orthodontic problem can be corrected with Invisalign®. Invisalign® can be used to correct most problems like crowding and spacing.
The process will begin with impressions of your upper and lower teeth; Invisalign® will use these impressions to create your custom aligning trays. Drs. Shaw, Jane and Ginzler will detail a treatment plan that is custom-made for your teeth and your teeth only. The plan determines how your teeth will change throughout your treatment and approximately how long treatment should take.
The aligners are removable, making it easy to eat, brush and floss. The aligners gently move your teeth into position; you'll typically wear each set of aligners for 2 weeks, then you will change to the next set of custom aligners. In order for aligners to work they need to be in for 22hours/day. You’re in control of your treatment's success. You will have regular visits in our office to gauge your progress and deliver more aligners.

Each aligner is precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of the treatment plan. Your first step is to visit our office to determine if Invisalign® is right for you. After sending precise treatment instructions, Invisalign® uses advanced computer technology to translate these instructions in a sequence of finely calibrated aligners — as few as 12 or as many as 48. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and only taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth will begin to move gradually — week-by-week until the final alignment prescribed is attained. Then you'll be smiling like you never have before!
