This data is used to robotically generate customized shape-memory wires to move your teeth as prescribed. These memory arch wires move your teeth directly to the prescribed position; teeth don’t actually move faster, they move much more efficiently since the exact finishing position is programmed into the wire with a precision that was never possible before.
Suresmile® creates a 3-D computer model of your teeth from the SureSmile® scan that we perform at our office.
With the 3-D model, Drs. Shaw and Ginzler can see your teeth and how they fit together from every angle. The Suresmile® treatment planning software provides them with virtual simulation tools that allow them to determine the final position of your teeth and the most effective plan for your treatment. By moving each tooth on your virtual model to the precise position Drs. Shaw and Ginzler are able to determine your exact treatment plan.
SureSmile® can then program the robot to fabricate memory-shaped alloy wires according to Drs. Shaw and Ginzler’s prescription.
