Drs. Shaw and Jane are Certified Invisalign Providers in Livonia, MI
Why choose Drs. Shaw and Jane Orthodontics for your Invisalign treatment?
Invisalign works great to correct crooked teeth, spacing, and many bite problems. As specialists who only treat orthodontic patients, Drs. Shaw and Jane are able to treat more patients with Invisalign than most dentists. They are Invisalign Preferred Providers with more than 15 years of experience using clear aligner technology to achieve beautiful, straight smiles.
What is it?
Invisalign uses a series of invisible and removable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. We offer the iTero® digital 3D scans for our Invisalign patients, eliminating the need for the impressions that are gooey and may cause gagging. This also allows us to show you how your teeth will look after Invisalign is started so you can see how beautiful your smile will be! Drs. Shaw and Jane are among the 70% of orthodontists in the US and Canada who are certified to treat with Invisalign.
Why would I want it?
Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Brushing and flossing are no problem. The aligners are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. No metal and no wires also means you spend less time in our office getting adjustments.
How does it work?
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Invisalign works just like braces! As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move in increments until they have straightened to their final positions.
You’ll visit Drs. Shaw & Jane Orthodontics about once every six to eight weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned and to pick up your next few sets of aligners. Total treatment time typically lasts six to 24 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both numbers will vary from case to case.
Your complimentary initial consultation at our Livonia orthodontic office includes digital pictures, as well as radiographs needed to properly diagnose what treatment is needed. Drs. Shaw and Jane will personally review the problems and treatment needed with you, and review the associated costs involved with obtaining a self-confident smile.
